Within an easy 30 minute drive are great places to explore such as Tetbury, Avebury, Longleat or Bath.  That is if you can tear yourself away from playing at Wood Farm!

The Foxham Inn, Foxham (walkable) 01249 740665 Turn right at the church in the centre of the village. Free House with good food menu and tables outside.
The Dumb Post, Bremhill 01249 813192 Old fashioned pub with traditional food. Warm fires in winter and a great garden with a view in summer. 10min drive or a couple of hours walk.

Great town for a mix of High St and independents

Good for boutique clothing, antiques and cafes 
Malmesbury
A small and charming centre of independent shops including Hobbs House Bakery (plus a Waitrose) 
Chippenham
Larger town with low key high street but excellent charity shopping including Dorothy House & British Heart Foundation furniture stores. 
Bath & Bristol
Great days out for culture, shopping and sport.  Trains run from Chippenham where the parking is good (or Bath has Park & Ride).
